How to Tackle Monday Before Monday tackles you!
I know! Where does the weekend go?? Sometimes I think it should be a rule to have a 4-day weekend and a 3-day work week! One can dream, right?
But seriously! Unpopular opinion...Mondays are my favorite day of the week. Yes, I am crazy for saying that. But it's true! And it's all about perspective!
Coming from a couple of great articles I read, here are some helpful tips and reasons to actually LOOK FORWARD to Mondays rather than dread them. Your outlook on your upcoming week will change COMPLETELY! Psst! Read all the way through because #5 is life-changing.
#1 New Start
We all have those weeks where we’re just not super productive, and that’s okay. Why? Because when you start work again on Monday morning, after a weekend of relaxing, you have the chance to reset, and start again with a bit more pep in your step. Monday can be the best day as you regain your focus to push for your goals.
#2 Get Ahead & Organized!
Monday is a great day to really throw yourself into your tasks, and get ahead of yourself for the week. Tick loads of boxes on a Monday, and your future self will be most grateful. Do this by preparing the weekend before by reviewing next week’s calendar and planning your schedule. Make a list, set alarms on your phone and lay out your outfits the night before. Do whatever you can the day before to set yourself up for success the next day.
#3 Best Meeting Day
Whether it’s a work meeting with your colleague or a planned coffee date with a friend, it is something to look forward to! When we have a planned meeting at the beginning of the week, it forces us to get out stuff together and organized!
#4 Routines
Mondays are a great opportunity to start a new routine or add something to your current routine. It’s weird, but I personally struggle to ‘start something new’ on a Wednesday. So if you plan on making a smoothie before work, or going on a walk at lunch time, Monday is the best day to start! Shake things up a bit! Create a new method of being productive that is energizing, put it in a place where you’ll see it on Monday and GO!
#5 Reflect on your Future
This one I am going to have you dig deep. Put on some inspiring music, grab a pen and paper, and spend a little time reflecting on your current career and life. Are you working towards a dream? Do you know where you want to be in five years? Make some notes and read over them over the weekend. When you come back Monday, you may have some clarity to help you decide how to spend your week--or whether it is time to start looking for new opportunities.
